New Zealand Scholarships - Indonesia 2012
Education is vital to the New Zealand Aid Programme mission of supporting sustainable development in order to reduce poverty and contribute to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world. Scholarships are available to citizens from selected developing countries to undertake vocational training or tertiary level study in their home country, in New Zealand, or in the Pacific region.
These scholarships enhance the skills, training and knowledge of individuals, and build their capacity to contribute to the sustainable development of key areas in their home country.
ASEAN Scholarships
Up to 50 ASEAN scholarships are available to Indonesian applicants for full-time postgraduate study at one of ten eligible New Zealand institutions.

Priority Sectors
Strong candidates from all areas will be considered. However, the following candidates will be given preference:
Government ministries: applicants from the Ministries of Agriculture, Forestry, Marine Resources and Fisheries, Environment, Tourism, National Police, Mineral Resources and Energy, Education, and Defence (civilian officials); applicants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas)
Fields of study: candidates in the public or private sector who nominate fields of study in support of sustainable economic development
Priority areas
Eastern Indonesia: West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Nusa Tengarra (NTT), Maluku, Papua and West Papua
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the general eligibility criteria outlined in the ASEAN Scholarships section of this website.
